I have seen war on land and sea. I have seen the blood running from the wounded. I have seen the dead in the mud. I have seen cries destroyed. I have seen children starving. I have seen the agony of mothers and wives. I hate war.

Us
We are many.
We could be strong.
We could all survive.
Death could be something we no longer fear.
We could all get by.
But we are divided.
We are weak.
We go and meet sickness and death in the street.
Soon there will be no bead of hope.
The right has been poisoned with the wrong.
How did we get here?
When did we exchange hate for love?
It's not to late.
But we have to change
and NOW.
We are many.
And we are divided.

Faces
People say I stare off into space. I only wish it was that simple. The truth is I do much, much more than stare. I can kill the faces. It all happened at once last year. I woke up with a strange marking on my hand. with that mark came a large amount of awareness ever since then things have been different, I've been different. I'm sure some time in you life you've "stared out into space" and saw a face. whether it was in the floor boards in the tiles or where ever you see them. Those are the faces I look for. Those are the faces I have to destroy. The faces if you are not careful could very well kill you. So when you see me either "staring off into space" or you see me staring at you It more then likely I'm only doing my job.
Scared
I'm so scared.
I need some one to hold my hand.
I need some one to carry me through the nightmares.
I need some one to help me catch the images that cross my vision.
The images that should never be seen,
the images that can't be unseen.
I need some one to help me find out what they are.
what they were.
Please help me!
I need some one to hold my hand.
I need some one to carry me through the nightmares.
I need some one to help me catch the images that cross my vision.
The images that should never be seen,
the images that can't be unseen.
I need some one to help me find out what they are.
what they were.
Please help me!

The runaway
I dream of nights like tonight, there was a blackout. I finally got out, finally had a chance to run. It was short lived though, they sent their men and dogs after me. They chased me. I could feel the adrenaline in my blood as they did so. The dogs tried to stop me, I have the teeth marks to prove it. It was raining again today so the blood washed off quickly. I was having such a good time but then the manager called and I knew that if I didn't come now the consequences would be death and not quickly I might add. So now I am back in my cell bloody and ragged restrained by as a straight jacket. I am hurt but alive and waiting for the next blackout. You want to know how I am writing this, that would be thanks to the man that lives in the cell next to me.

Bad days
If you are having a bad day remember tomorrow can be better but for tomorrow to be better you have to make the best of today. Tomorrow only exists because of today so if you make the best of today, tomorrow should be better. We sometimes get so cared away with what tomorrow may bring we for get about today and just like that our life is up, wasted on what could have been and not getting up and doing stuff. Just like we should not be caught up in the future, we shouldn't be so worried about the past. What's done is done and we can't take it back no matter how much we want to. It is better to just let it go and move on but I am not telling you to forget because if you forget you'll wind-up doing it again and we don't want that.

Today's tomorrow
Today's children are tomorrows teens.
Today's teens are tomorrows adults.
Today's adults are tomorrows dust.
When you are about to put a child down because of their age remember this.
Today's teens are tomorrows adults.
Today's adults are tomorrows dust.
When you are about to put a child down because of their age remember this.
"You can't hit a girl"
I am sure you have heard the saying "you can't hit a girl". I HATE IT! It's inferring that we can't take care of ourselves. That we can not fight just because of our gender. You might not agree with me but that is what I think. I hate being told what I can and can't do, and this saying is telling you that you shouldn't hit a girl because they are to weak. And I hate being called weak.

death by you
Have you ever killed some one,
and thought about what you did?
That was some ones child.
Maybe some ones mother or farther.
Some one loved!
Ever had their eyes haunting your nights?
Ever relived the moment they toke their last breath?
I have two more questions for you.
Were you proud of what you did?
Are you still proud?
And I don't care if they were your worst enemy;
they were still a human being.I'm not a hippie. I just don't understand all the blood.
why?
There are scars here.
They can never be healed
Nor patched up.
The trees are gone.
The rivers going to stop soon.
The oceans filled with salt.
You never seem to care
unless it's coming to you.
But what about us?
The generation after you.
Will there be anything left
to come into the world to?
Do you even care if there is?
How long will it take for you to notices?
To notice what you are doing to yourselves,
to us.
spirits
Whispering their stories into my ear,
Thinking of all people I'd hear.
Telling me about their life,
Sometimes about their husband or wife.
But only telling me at night
And giving a fright
When I turn on the light.
anger
Is the black hole that engulfs us.
It can move as fast as a cheetah,
Yet slowly takes us over.
Like a serpent coiling us to its will,
Poisoning our minds.
owls
I wake at night.
I sleep at light.
Pray do not hear,
Till I'm to near.
I eat voles and mice.
They taste mighty nice.
Till they run out,
Then I shall shout.
Vincent
My one crinkled ear points me out.
My chipped tooth makes my look vicious,
And that was all they saw.
I was there so long I went on clearance.
Will I ever be free of this cage?
Then one day a woman came.
She looked past my features,
And saw the teddy bear inside me.
She toke me home that day,
And my life has been good ever since.
my mind
My mind is like My room, not always organized
My eyes are like tree bark with little green moss
My ears are silent, yet they know More then I
My heart holds love, enough for all the anImals
That goes far beyoNd what you can see
And beyonD what even I can feel.
Nada
Only a pup when she lost her mother
Had to move to another
Was only the size of her head
Had to go so many times to bed
Was so clumsy upon her feet
Now more neat
Well
I think
rain
Always falling to the ground
Making it easy to dig down
Following you around
Makes you want to jump for joy,
Knowing things will die no more
Will be your friend forever
When you can't sleep,
It will sing you a lullaby.
butterfly, butterfly
Butterfly, butterfly there on that stump.
Admiring yourself in that peace of glass.
Think yourself high on that little old stump.
Butterfly, butterfly where are you going?
Are you late for a ball,
Or perhaps,
Going to the mall?
Butterfly, butterfly I follow your trail,
To a hollow tree.
But there you stop at the entrance,
You just stop.
Butterfly, butterfly why have you stopped?
Then to my surprise,
You transformed in front of my very eyes.
Butterfly, butterfly you're turning human!
Your wings folding into a wonderful dress,
Antennae turning into long black hair.
Butterflies, butterflies all in one room.
Dancing so lovely, in their robes and dresses
For everyone to see.

a quiet poem
A colorful flowerbed on a cool crisp morning,
A bare forest in the dead of the night,
One of the oldest trees whispering to its descendents in the slight breeze,
And me,
On the porch watching it all.
